Gators Victorious on "Senior Night"

Sophomore defender Alexis Crossman (Corinth, NY/Corinth) topped all players with seven goals. She added nine draw controls, eight groundballs, and three caused turnovers.
Senior midfielder Maddison Walter (South Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls) and senior attacker Aimee Rodriguez (Colonie, NY/Colonie), both part of the group of eight players recognized in the "Senior Night" ceremony prior to the game, netted three goals apiece.
The Gators used six goals in a 2:48 span to take control early. Trailing 12-3 at the half, the visiting Wildcats (1-12/0-8 E8) responded with three goals early in the third quarter to avoid the potential for a running time scenario. SUNY Poly continued to push, scoring six of the first seven goals of the fourth period to trim its deficit to two, 16-14 with 2:51 left. With 58 seconds remaining, Crossman broke the visitors' momentum with a goal that ensured that RSC would win on "Senior Night".
RSC (3-10/2-6 E8) concludes its season at home on Saturday against Nazareth.
Senior Night: Before the contest, Russell Sage College Athletics recognized the following student-athletes for their contributions to the women's lacrosse program: defender Peggy Monti (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady), a grad student, junior attacker Paige Stewart (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown), senior defender Crystal Ivery (Cairo, NY/Cairo-Durham), junior attacker Emma Friedel (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford), senior midfielder Tristyn Valenze (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia), Rodriguez, Walter, and senior defender Angelina Schaefer (Latham, NY/Shaker).
Gator Bites with Papa John's: RSC equaled a program-record for wins in a season with seven in 2024…Nine Gators return from last year's squad…Sophomore defender Schaefer, Walter, and Crossman were voted co-captains of this year's team.
