Bio
A graduate of Spackenkill High School, Alex Lanza had a strong campaign as a freshman. He started 3 of 16 games and had 4 points on 1 goal and 2 assists. He earned acclaim for his efforts in the classroom as well having been placed on the 2013 Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team and Sage’s Dean’s List. He earned Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week honors on September 27 after connecting for a goal in the 97th minute and lifted Sage to a 4-3 (OT) victory at St. Joseph's-L.I. It was his first career goal at Sage. As a sophomore, Lanza appeared in 18 games with 14 starts.

The forward scored 2 goals and was ranked third on the team in assists with 4. He finished the season with 8 points.

Lanza has totalled 34 appearances with 3 goals, 6 assists and 12 points over the course of his career.

He had a stand-out career at Spackenkill H.S. and was a Poughkeepsie Journal Second Team All-Star and a team captain as a senior. That same season, his team won the sectional finals and advanced to the regional finals.  He is a business administration major at Sage. The son of Michael and Concetta Lanza, he is joined on the team by his older brother, Sean Lanza.
