RSC Softball Team honored for success in the classroom by NFCA
Louisville, KY – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) named their All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2022-2023 academic year. Russell Sage College’s softball program had seven players saluted for their academic prowess in 2022-2023.

Russell Sage College's softball program had seven players saluted for their academic prowess in 2022-2023. The Gators, which earned their third consecutive Empire 8 Tournament appearance in 2023, capped the year as the Empire 8 Tournament Runner-up.
Named to the 2022-23 Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete Team for the Gators were junior Isabella Vano (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown), graduate performer Arianna Papas (Castleton, NY/Maple Hill), rookie Leah Madore (Williamsville, VT/Brattleboro Union), rookie Emma Heartquist (Stuyvesant, NY/Ichabod Crane), graduate player Taylor Dicranian (Bennington, VT/Mt. Anthony Union), senior Katelyn Rice (Albany, NY/Colonie Central), and sophomore Serina Garmendiz (Hempstead, NC/Pine Bush).
In order to qualify, a student-athlete had to maintain a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average for the academic year.
