Bio

A transfer from Hartwick College, Teagan Waddingham took over as the Gators’ keeper in 2012 and played every minute in goal in her first year as a Gator. She finished the season with a 5-10-1 record and helped the team return to the Skyline Conference tournament in 2012, while producing a .296 GAA with five shutout wins. She had a .686 saves percentage as well for the Gators.

In her second campaign with Sage, she was named the Gator of the Year as the team’s MVP after she played every minute on the 2013 season. Waddingham added 4-10-1 record in net with a 2.42 GAA and had a pair of shutout wins. She was ranked among the Skyline Conference leaders in numerous goalkeeping categories. She was No. 3 in saves per game (7.33), while standing at No. 6 in saves percentage (.748) and tied for No. 7 in shutouts. She was also No. 7 in GAA as well in the league.

A two-sport athlete at Sage, she played in 33 games with 21 starts in the outfield for the Gators in 2013, while helping Sage’s softball team to the 2013 ECAC Metro Softball Runner-up trophy. Last year, she played in 25 games with 8 starts for the Gators in the outfield and helped the team to the 2014 Skyline Conference regular-season title and the 2014 Skyline Conference runner-up crown.

She arrived at Sage from Hartwick, where she played 9 games with 4 starts for the Hawks in goal. She added a 2.38 GAA and a .759 saves percentage in 265 minutes of service.

On her career, she owns a 2.7 GAA in 31 games played and started in net. She is also poised to make a run at several Sage career marks as well. She is No. 4 in career goalkeeping minutes (2,834:17), while standing No. 3 in career shutouts (7), and No. 5 in career saves (215).  

In high school, she was a three-sport athlete at Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk and was the soccer team MVP. She also earned numerous post-season awards and led her soccer team to the Colonial Council Championship and a state semifinalist finish in 2008.  She was also named the recipient of Senior Class Coaches’ Award in 2011 after also earning defensive player of the year honors as well as a senior. She is also a National Honor Society student.

At Sage, she is a physical education major. She is the daughter of John and Karen Waddingham. She has continued her tradition of enjoying a chocolate bar before every game over the last four years and it has certainly paid off! She is the 2014-2015 Sage SAAC president and a team captain for the 2014 Gator women’s soccer team.
