Sage's men's soccer match at SUNY-Cobleskill halted due to dangerous weather
Cobleskill, N.Y.:
The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team's opening game versus Sage College was cancelled due to dangerous weather conditions on Saturday afternoon. The Fighting Tigers were trailing the visiting Gators 3-0 in the 63rd minute when a severe thunderstorm with lighting, high winds and torrential rain led to the game's cancellation.
Under current NCAA rules a game must reach the 70th minute of play to be classified as an official contest. However as the game was stopped prior to the official contest mark it must be replayed from the start as a new game.
At this time the Fighting Tigers and Gators have not set a date and time to replay the contest.
