ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Women's Soccer is well represented on the All-Empire 8 Conference Teams. Seven Gators: freshman goalkeeper Olivia Horan (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville), sophomore defender Courtney Bush (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen), sophomore midfielder Maria Stewart (Broadalbin, NY/Broadalbin-Perth), sophomore forward Gianna Viscusi (Duanesburg, NY/Schalmont), senior forward Marissa Key (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury), freshman midfielder Jaclyn Benedetti (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes), and senior forward Kennedy Jones (Albany, NY/Albany) were voted by the E8 head coaches to the squads.

Key and Bush, both All-E8 picks last fall, took home first-team All-Conference honors. Bush spearheaded an RSC defense that registered conference-bests in goals-against average and clean sheets across the regular season. She added two goals and an assist and won E8 Defensive Player of the Week on two occasions.

Key provided the Gators (9-5-4/3-2-3 E8) with high-quality offensive and defensive play. She totaled 13 points on four goals and five assists. Key tied for second on the circuit with five assists, and ranked sixth with 13 points.

Jones was voted second-team All-E8 for the second-straight year. She closed her season atop the E8 in scoring with 20 points on eight goals and four assists.

Benedetti, Viscusi and Horan each made the third-team.  Viscusi ranked fourth in the E8 in both points (16) and goals (7), while Horan (7-4-4) led the Conference with seven regular season shutouts.

One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2023 E8 Women's Soccer Sportswoman of the Year Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportswomen.  Stewart represented the Gators on the squad.

The group helped the Gators reach the Semifinals of the E8 Championship Tournament for the second-straight year.
