New York, NY— The Sage College's women's basketball team continues to garner attention and acclaim for the record-breaking season. The latest honor was bestowed to sophomore guard Gen Schoff (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) as she was named the Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Schoff, who was named the 2014-2015 Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year, is a candidate for the 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for her accomplishments both in the classroom and on the hardwood. Last week, she helped Sage to a 2-0 week and averaged 22.5 ppg, while adding 8.5 rpg with a 46.4 field goal percentage (13-28), and a blistering effort from the line as she converted 18-of-25 free throws.

She connected for a career-high 29 points in the team's win over Purchase on January 26 and tallied 12 rebounds. Against St. Joseph's College (LI), she converted her record 98^th free throw of the season. She broke Sage's single-season free throw record with her 98^th made shot, surpassing the effort held by both Denise Stafford (1992-1993) and Wendy Kuhn (1991-1992) with 88.

Second-year head coach Allison Coleman's Gators own a 16-2 record on the year while owning a perfect mark in Skyline Conference play with a 12-0 record. Sage is in action on Monday night visiting Union College for a 7 p.m. non-conference match-up. Sage will host St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn on February 3 at 6 p.m. in a Skyline Conference contest, before hosting regional rival Skidmore College on Saturday, February 6 at 1 p.m. in conjunction with the school's Take a Kid To the Game Day!
